In furtherance of continuing education of Judiciary Staff, the Ogun State Judiciary Development Centre has produced its 1st graduating students who have excelled in the training for certificate in Basic Administration and Information Technology in the State.
The Hon. Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, who was delighted to have the first set of graduating students, explained that the graduation ceremony is the first of its kind in the history of any state Judiciary, adding that the Study Centre is not limited to the Staff of the Judiciary but opened to Non-Staff.
Justice Dipeolu who congratulated the thirteen (13) graduating Students, encouraged other staff to embrace the administration’s agenda towards ensuring a Well-Motivated, Operative and Proficient Workforce with the aim of achieving modern digitization of the State Judiciary.
Earlier in his address, the chairman of the education board, Hon. Justice Olumuyiwa Olusanya highlighted that the centre offers a wide range of courses from Computer Appreciation, Coding, Web and App designing, English, Court Administration, Hardware Maintenance and Repair, General Administration, Human Resources management, Store keeping and Maintenance amongst others.
The Chairman said “A Certificate at the Centre is an advantage for those set of staff that are academically disadvantaged and had been unable to progress career wise”.
Hon. Justice Olusanya thereby appreciated His Lordship, the Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu for her commitment toward the holistic staff welfare as captured in her Seven Point Agenda.
The Ogun State Judiciary Development Centre which was commissioned on the 7th of June 2021 and the Education Board Inaugurated on the 27th of September, 2021 has Hon. Justice Olumuyiwa Olusanya as the Chairman of the board.
Other Members Include Hon. Justice Olugboyega Ogunfowora, Hon. Justice Sonia Akinbiyi, Prof. Oluyemisi Bamgbose (SAN) and Mrs Olukemi Adebo (Study Coordinator).
