Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has affirmed that the Ogun State Judiciary is at the verge of commencing an electronic filing of court processes in the State.
This plan, according to Hon. Justice Dipeolu will guarantee the safety of processes and improve the speed at which Justice is been served.
The Chief Judge, also notified that Bondsmen are being registered and are already standing as sureties for defendants before courts across the State.
His Lordship therefore appealed ‘I urge all stakeholders to cooperate and ensure the success of these Bondsmen Initiatives’
The Chief Judge made this known at a Special Court Sitting, officially introducing the Hon. Justice Olatunde Sobowale to the bar and bench at the Judiciary Complex, along Kobape Road, Abeokuta.
Hon. Justice Dipeolu therefore admonished the introduced Judge to promote and safeguard the rule of law without fear and favour.
In their separate remarks, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Akingbolahan Adeniran said that the appointment of Hon. Justice Sobowale to the High Court of Justice is another laudable step to the quest to enhance the Justice Delivery machinery in the State.
“This step will definitely ensure an effective, efficient dispensation of Justice” he added
Representatives of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) Mr Sola Ojutalayo charged Hon. Justice Sobowale to be fair, open minded and accept to do justice to all at all times in the discharge of duties as a Judge.
“I implore your lordship to carry out a dispassionate evaluation of facts, conduct a synthesis and construction of the law as well as engage in appropriate application of same to cases before handling down your Lordship’s decisions” he admonished”.
Representative of the Nigeria Bar Association, Ogun State, Mr Joseph Ogunniyi while describing Hon. Justice Sobowale as well focused person in her career advised My lord to strive for the highest standard of integrity in both her professional and personal lives.
In her response, Hon. Justice Olatunde Sobowale said she sees her elevation as a divine transformation, promising to be focused, dedicated to duties and uphold the oath of office and allegiance.
“I shall by God’s grace Justify the confidence reposed in me at all times” she vowed
Until her elevation to the High Court Bench in December 29th,2020, she was in active, excellent private law practice and a trusted senior member of the NBA, Ota branch.
