Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has tasked sons, daughters as well as residents of Ijebu Imushin in Ijebu East Local Government area of Ogun State to avail themselves of the opportunity of the Justice System brought to their doorsteps.

Hon. Justice Dipeolu who made this known during the commissioning of a Magistrate Court at Ijebu Imushin said the commissioning of the court will give a sigh of relief to inhabitants of the Community of travelling to Ijebu-Ode to seek legal redress.

In his Lordship’s Welcome address, the Chief Judge who was represented by Hon. Justice Olarenwaju Onafowokan also commended his Royal Majesty, the Oloko of Ijebu Imushin, Oba Stephen Onafowokan,  the Ijebu Imushin Council of Otunbas and Chiefs as well as the Council of Obas, Ijebu Imushin for the Provision of the court hall which according to the Chief Judge would geared towards bringing access to Justice closer to the people of Ijebu Imushin.

The Chief Judge added that “the court hall is not for the benefit of the Judiciary only but also for the benefit of the people of Ijebu Imushin and its environs to have access to Justice which is fair, fast and without discrimination, I must say it shows the explariness of his Majesty’s leadership and the believe of the people of Ijebu Imushin in the Justice system”

According to Hon. Justice Dipeolu, “access to Justice will not mean just access to lawyers and courts, it is much broader than this as it encompasses a recognition that everyone is entitled to the protection of the law and under the circumstances ensuring that all manner of persons are treated fairly according to the law”

In his goodwill message, the Oloko of Ijebu Imushin, Oba Stephen Onafowokan, appreciated the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Dipeolu, for granting Ijebu Imushin Community honour of having the first Magistrate in Ijebu East Local government area.

Earlier, one of the committee member of  the Ijebu Imushin Council of Otunbas and Chiefs,  Balogun Adesegun Adebayo reiterated that “the idea of this Magistrate was conceived by the Ijebu Council of Chiefs that the community need a court and by the grace of God it became possible with the support of the Hon. Chief Judge of the State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu who believes Justice needed to be brought to the grassroot”

The Ijebu-Ode NBA Chairman, Mrs Stella Ogbonna also appreciate the leadership of the State Chief Judge for the rare honour bestowed on the Ijebu – Imushin Community by approving the construction of the court which according to her would ease quick dispensation of Justice to the dwellers of the community.
