The Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice (Dr.) Mosunmola Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR has promised to further improve on training, welfare of staff and entrench the digitisation of the Judiciary with the aim of providing a faster, efficient and effective means of access to justice for all in the State.

Hon. Justice Dipeolu made this known during the conferment of merit awards on diligent staff of the Judiciary as part of activities ushering in the 2023/2024 new legal year held at the Judiciary complex in Abeokuta.

The Chief Judge advised the awardees to recommit themselves to the enduring pursuit of justice, and to continue to work tirelessly to ensure that Judiciary remains a beacon of hope, fairness and compassion.

“The award winners we are celebrating have not only excelled in their professional capacities but have also shown a deep seated commitment to making a difference” the Chief Judge added.

The awards are for Most Hardworking and Conscientious Officer, Confidential Secretary, Magistrate of the Year, Judicial Research Officer of the Year, Most Outstanding Officer, Integrity Officer, Registrar of the year and Clerical Officer of the year.

Other awards are, Secretarial Assistant of the year, Utility Officer, Driver of the year, Bailiff of the year, Gardner of the year, Punctuality award, Best Dressed (Male & Female), Security Officer of the year and Valuable Officer of the year.

The Hon. Chief Judge highlighted that during the period in review, the Judiciary has appointed eight (8) Hon. Judges of the high court, commissioning of high court 2 Idi-Oke, Appointment of three Magistrates, Extensive renovation of Courts across the State, Provision of boreholes for Ilaro high Court & Judge’s quarters & Ota Magistrate Court, Commissioning of Magistrate court, Ijebu-Mushin, Annual Comprehensive Medical Assessment for Magistrates and Judicial Research Officers, Trainings/ Seminars and Workshops for Hon. Judges, Management team, Magistrates, Judicial Research Officers and all staff.

Earlier, as part of the 2023/2024 new legal year activities, the final Football  Match of the 8th edition of the Chief Judges’ Cup was also held at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abeokuta which was won by the Yewa team.
