In furtherance of its quest to uniting and touching lives of children positively, the Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has tasked the Scout Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Scout Council to reposition itself in order to realise its primary objective of rendering selfless service to the society.
The State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu represented by Hon. Justice Olarenwaju Mabekoje gave the charge in his Lordship’s opening remarks at the annual general meeting of the Scout Council held at the Judiciary Complex, Olipakala, Kobape in Abeokuta.
Hon. Justice Dipeolu, while receiving the State Scout Council commended the Council for its commitment to ensuring that the Scout gains a solid structure over the years to the admiration of other State Councils.
Advising the Scout council on recruiting, the Chief Judge advised the leadership of the State Scout Council to involve more young boys/girls at various schools across the State and at the grassroots level, adding that, engaging the youths in creative activities will take them away from social vices now rampant in the society.
“Scouting also creates a way of engaging the youths in creative activities whilst taking them away from social vices which is now prevalent in our society and this can be done by opening Cub park, Scout Troop, Venture unit and Explorer Crew” the Chief Judge said
Earlier, in his good will message,the State Scout Commissioner,Engr. Adeniyi Leigh who was represented by Mr Moses Tella appreciated the Chief Judge and the President of the State Scout Council for the unflinching support the State Scout Council by the Judiciary ably led by the Hon. Chief Judge.
