The Ogun State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has been extolled for her commitment, hard work and dedication at ensuring speedy dispensation of Justice in the State.
The Prisoners’ Right Advocacy Initiative (PRAI), a non-governmental organisation focused on advocacy ,legal defence, re-arbitration and re-integration gave this applaud during an advocacy visit to the Chief Judge in her office on Monday June 28th at the Judiciary Complex, Abeokuta.
Founder of the initiative, Mr Hammed Adetola who spoke on behalf of other members of the initiative likewise appreciated the Chief Judge for her capabilities in the State Justice system “we are impressed by this edifice”.
Mr Adetola emphasised that the ideology behind the visit was to introduce their intending project to My Lord, which are declaration of petty offences, non-stigmatization of sexual offenders and sex offenders becoming vocal persons.
In her response, Justice Dipeolu, who expressed her Joy with the initiative aimed at rehabilitating Prisoners and decongestion of prison called for more helping hands from other organisation to key into the vision of assisting the government in decongestion.
“I am glad that the initiative is doing this, as you are doing this for the prisoners, you are also doing it for the society, because if you are able to keep them out of prisons that means you are keeping them out of trouble” she said
