The Honorable Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice (Dr.) Mosunmola Dipeolu during the swearing in of the Thirty-Eight (38) newly appointed grade 2 members of the Customary Court, Ogun State Judiciary, has admonished them that their appointment is indeed an expression of trust and confidence in their ability to discharge the duties expected of them.

The Chief Judge said further that “your appointment is not for community boasting, the office you hold requires that you are humble, polite and respectful in your personal life and during court sittings”

Hon.justice Dipeolu however, advised them to keep reading and advancing in knowledge to fully function and discharge their duties as well as cultivate the art of writing, as judgement writing is a creative process.

In his admonition, the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M. A Ojo charged the newly appointed members to be careful in their dealings, noting that the society now has a new perception about them and a positive image must be portrayed. He further added that good conduct and unbiased verdict must be passed at all time.

While appreciating the system, the new appointees ably represented by Mr. A Ogunsanwo thanked the Hon. Chief judge of the State and President of the Customary Court of Appeal for their admonition and support, promising to always be of good conduct while performing their responsibilities to further enhance the dispensation of justice in the State Judiciary.
